16 oz. can.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch light pink head over a cherry red body with no lacing. Nose of cherry and graham cracker in that order. Taste follows nose nicely with a bit of sweetness of cherry and a graham cracker backbone. (My female chiropractor would approve!) Not much in the way of American Brown Ale attributes, but pretty dam tasty. After it warms, there is the slightest chocolate flavor coming forward, though. Good feel and overall, an interesting beer form Braintree, VT, that I like. Cheers!

I don't normally put brown ales in tulips, but given the ABV, I opted for mine for this.
The appearance was obviously a brown color with a fairly quick dissipating half finger's worth of white foamy head. Mild lace wound around the glass fairly nice.
The aroma did exactly as Bent Hill suggested - cherries, red and sweet with a nice graham cracker crust-like sweetness. Mild toast just a tad further in the back.
The flavor presented the sweetness of it all meshing together in the front with the graham cracker crust/crunchy portion actually showing an even flow all around. The aftertaste was exactly the cherries and graham cracker.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a touch under with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine, fairly smooth, but not too far under as nothing cloying or syrupy was noted. ABV felt on par.
Overall, I'd like to call this an imperial brown ale with the Bent Hill creativity that wasn't overly done (thank God!). Me, I'm just happy to note Bent Hill can actually brew good creative beer that isn't too gimmicky.
