Drinking out of a small goblet.
Pours a clear, very dark brown with a good tan head.
Smells of chocolate.
Nice smooth mouth feel.
Full taste of chocolate, wir=th tange suggestive of peppers

Looks like a bigun', this one was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a slim cap of off white foamy head that slid off at mild pace. Light lace ran here and there, somewhat messy.
The aroma had a nice blend of dark chocolate and milk chocolate with some sweet coffee, vanilla and ash. Touch of earthiness laying low in the background.
The flavor took those prior mentioned aromas sweetly with a light roast and an ample amount of dryness equally out and leading into the aftertaste smoothly.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it due to the dryness. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par, maybe just a smidge under.
Overall, pretty damn nice imperial porter well worthy of coming back to preferably in mid Autumn or early Spring.

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass, not sure when it was canned. Pours a very attractive near pitch black with a 2 plus finger light brown head that leaves plenty of thick streaks of lace behind.

Smell is cocoa nibs, faint expresso, biscuit, toffee, tobacco, and vanilla.

Taste follows coco, coffee, biscuity grains, toffee, leather, tobacco, and vanilla.

Mouthfeel is a big medium, plenty of life for the style, maybe a touch dry, and very drinkable for 8.2%.

Overall if you like old school stout and porters with no gimmicks than you will dig this one. Really a complex brew.
