Can. Near black with lasting tan head and lace. Rich chocolate earthy with lightly roasted coffee aroma. Sweet dark chocolate with nicely subdued plummy fruit. Medium light earthy bitterness in long earthy woody herbal lightly smoky finish. Rich and full bodied and creamy. Excellent.

16 oz. can.
Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head over a dark brown body with some lacing. Nose of dark malt, dark chocolate, and bitter chocolate. Taste mirrors nose with some milk chocolate and malted milk flavors as well. Nice feel and overall, a solid imperial porter from Braintree, VT. Cheers!

Can to snifter.
The appearance was a nice lookingdarkbrown close to black color with a fair finger's worth of white to off white foamy head. Slight messy lace.
The aroma had sweet ash, dark chocolate bittersweet nibs, roasty coffee beans, toast and char.
The flavor slightly leans towards a dry semi-sweet quality with an underlying bitterness rolling in. Nice aftertaste weaving the bittersweet dark chocolate to the ash/char to the toast and coffee beans.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Good carbonation and ABV. Finishes with some ash/char and with a dry grip from the roastiness.
Overall, pretty good imperial porter. I tend to like their normal offerings a lot more than their weird stuff.
