Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color capped by a swiftly dissipating head. Not much lace.
The aroma was absolutely amazing! Practically like drinking milk chocolate covered maraschino cherries. Super subtle level of red raspberry far underneath. Then some waves of dark chocolate form some bitter ends for a wonderful addition.
The flavor leads with the sweet and the bitter from the milk and dark chocolate while bringing in the cherries nice enough for a fabulous balance. Raspberries seem to not make any presence here. Long aftertaste of milk and dark chocolate with cherry skin.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a steady sipping quality about it. Nothing distracting, and the sour is so subdued. But I wasn't bothered by that. Finish was leaning towards a milk chocolate to cocoa powdery dry to some quaint sour-ness.
Overall, I really liked this one for me but do have to admit - true sour fans may not like this as much due to the high levels of chocolate in this.

Moderate pour yields a light pinkish-tan head over a reddish-brown body with scant lacing. Nose of cherries. Taste of cherries. Near perfect sweet/sour aroma and flavor. Nice feel and overall, a fine fruited sour, very refreshing, and highly crushable at only 4.0% abv. Cheers to Mike at Bent Hill Brewery!
