Opted for a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a dark amber to ruddy purple color. Small semi-foamy to bubbly head swiftly slid off. No lace.
The aroma spoke of strong tart to sweet red raspberries gently flowing through some vanilla creaminess. Light grassy seed-like quality coming out with some warmth.
The flavor blended nicely between all of the aspects of sweet, sour and tart. Quick semi-smooth aftertaste of red raspberries and cream.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair in between quality of being sipping and being sessionable. Enough sour harshness does impact me from wanting to gulp. Carbonation felt pretty low in this one. Finish is sticky red raspberries.
Overall, pretty nice fruited sour ale with the red raspberry factor. And well worthy of more pours in late Summer! Great job, Mike and gang!

Sour ale brewed with lactose, vanilla and raspberry
Look deep ruby. 1/4 inch head.
Smell almost all raspberries
Taste strong slightly sour raspberry flavor like drinking a lambic
Very nice fruit beer. Sour but not hard to drink.
