Had both on draft at the brewery, plus a 4 pack of cans
Very dark brown in color, off white colored head. Nice malty aroma - bready, touch of caramel, toasty, cocoa. Taste is well balanced, drier finish, some mild earthy hop bitterness. medium bodied. Easy drinking flavorful brew.

I normally am quite bored with Brown Ales. They are either far too watery, too sweet or just plain bleh. This one is certainly an exception.
Solid brown color, creamy white head. Sort of a chocolate liquer aroma. Taste is malty and balanced. Bready and chocolaty malts. Mildly hopped. It is an incredibly drinkable beer. I could drink this for quite a while. Very full bodied creamy mouthfeel. It is excellent. Had it from my 32 oz growler filled from Northwest Beerwerks in Olympia.
