Growler on tap at Chuck's Hop Shop in Seattle. Minimal lacing, yellowy-green color with some cloudiness. Smells not terribly strong--orange peel, hibiscus, & rubbing alcohol. Taste is more citrusy, not very balanced with much malt flavor of any kind.

Color is a bright clear yellow in the big Duvel tulip. Foam is average, on the coarse side. The exuberance of aromatic hops that is hard to believe. Sharp and strong, while the malt gives it a sweet undertone. Tastes of alcohol mixed with pineapple juice and dosed with bitters. Passion fruit and apricot nectar.
Big fruity flavor, and I guess "Juice" sums it up. Bitterness is moderate. The finish is almost dry with a mineral note. While this is wildly aromatic, it is just a little harsh. It has the sweet fruity intensity, but maybe not the smooth deliciousness, of my favorite DIPAs have. Like Stone's Enjoy By, Double IPA by pFriem , and Lost Horizon from Modern Times.
