Beautiful golden brew with a pile of whipped cream suds in the tall glass. Flowery aroma. Light bodyToasty malt flavor. Hints of resin and a modest bitter aftertaste.
Crisp and elegant. The foam just sits there after you've swilled the glassful. This is one of the better Pilsners I"ve had this year. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

Can from Beermongers.
A clear light orange with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is wonderful. Bright, lemony, earthy, mildly minty with a touch of a doughy malt character, this is a wonderful pilsner. A touch of cracker malt is present as well. The palate opens cleanly bitter with a blend of lemon and earthy bitterness, mildly resiny and oily. A great hop bouquet is present. There is a blend of doughy and mildly cracker like malt present, unfortunately not of sufficient depth to balance the hops. This results in a strangely resiny but watery finish. Apart from this, though, this beer is pretty excellent.

Slightly cloudy with some floating particles. Light, golden color, with foamy white head. Solid retention and lacing. Aroma is herbal and floral, grass, and lemon. Some cracker malt. Flavor is similar. Bitter hops bite in the finish. Resinous and piney from the dry hops process, giving it a bit more of that NW character. A good beer overall.

Poured from a can into a pilsner glass. Pours a medium golden amber with active carbonation, a two finger white head with good retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of grainy and bready malt, grassy and lightly citrus hops, spicy. Flavor is grainy biscuit malt, grain husks, grassy hops, hint of lemon. Finishes with dry, grassy hops. Light to medium bodied with sharp carbonation. A classic pilsner profile and robust grainy malt. The hops lean authentic, but seem a little muddled. There is an interesting dry grassiness and grain huskiness to this that give it an interesting rustic feel. I liked that part quite a bit, but the hop profile is not quite to my taste. A good grainy pilsner with lots of flavor, appropriate to the old weathered look to the label, as if it was an old, well used barrel label with scuffs. Nicely done.
