Clear amber brew with a tinge of tea, plus a lovely pile of foam in the flare-top nonic, and bubbles streaming. Lovely flowery, piney aroma. Sudsy mouthfeel with plenty of rich carbonation and that creamy carbonation. Resiny hops are quite prominent. Some biscuity malt with a touch of sweetness.
Rather bitter aftertaste, reminds me of an Amber Ale. Overall, a highly drinkable classic American pale ale. Quite a bit of sediment in the bottom of the 22 oz bottle, but it sticks there. Purchased at Special Brews in Lynnwood.

Quite hazy, rocky head that lasted halfway down the glass, minor lacing. Hoppy nose. Rather sweet (too sweet for my taste) and a bit heavy in the body. Almost like an extra hoppy English Pale Ale.

Cloudy, golden amber in color. Thin, orange-cream head with moderate lacing. The aroma is bread, malt, herbs, and tangerine. The flavor is quite hopped up, both tropical and piney. The malt is more in the background, but present. You get the pine up front, earthy and herbal notes, and tropical fruit sweetness as you exhale. Resinous mouthfeel, hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste that lingers on the tongue. Dry finish. A great beer overall in my opinion, one that is above average in flavor for a pale ale.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, medium golden amber with a fine, half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, orange citrus, light tropical fruit, light dankness. Flavor of lightly bready malt, dank and citrus hops, pineapple and mixed tropical fruit. Finishes with grassy, dank hops with lingering dry grassy hop bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A solid, quite hoppy pale ale with a malt body that is fairly neutral in flavor and lets the grassy hops get away from it a little in the finish. Quite hoppy and full bodied for a pale ale. Since this an introducton to a spin-off brewery, Matchless Brewing, which will use American yeast instead of Three Magnets' Britsh inspired yeast, I was surprised to find that the finish reminded me a little of a British hop and malt combo. Interesting introduction to the new brewery and I look forward to tasting their first releases.
