This fourth installment in our Storm subseries delivers a category 3 hit of hop dust to your tastebuds. This hazy IPA is whirlpooled with Ekuanot, Simcoe and Mosaic lupulin powder. It was then dry hopped with even more Ekuanot, Simcoe and Mosaic lupulin powder creating light, crisp and slightly dank flavors of grapefruit and apricot.

Brilliant hazy gold with thin white head

Smells juicy...passion fruit, mango

Flavor is very similar, with a citrus finish

Mildly carbonated, pleasantly astringent/bitter

Poured from a 16 oz can into an imperial pint glass. Cloudy, pale orange with a very thick, creamy head. Solid retention, and sheet lacing. The aroma on this one was amazing. I let it sit out a bit a as it warmed up, the bouquet intensified. Ripe tropical and stone fruit. The flavor was similar, very juicy and resinous. Lots of citrus and other fruit. Well blended, smooth. Like a juice drink almost. So good. I almost forgot I was drinking beer!

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy golden amber with a two finger white head with good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus hops with a little pine, grapefruit and lemon citrus, mild stone fruit. Flavor is lightly caramel malt, citrus hops, grapefruit, lemon and orange citrus, faint hints of tropical fruit. Finishes with lingering lightly resinous citrus hops and faint fruit esters. Medium bodied with nice light creaminess. The time of the hazy IPA has come; most seem to lean towards tropical fruit flavors, but this one is mostly citrus, but with a good combination of citrus fruit flavors. The malt is lightly flavored but has a nice light caramel component. Finish is hoppy and bitter with good fruit character. Looks good, tastes fine and with a good mouth feel. One of my favorites of the storm series.
