Fizzy; the cherry is a bit strong for my taste, but it grows on you. Nice big head that died down fast.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a dark red-orange with a fine, one finger light khaki head with great retention and light lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, Belgian yeast, cherry, plum and a little apricot. Flavor is biscuit malt, cherry, raisins, figs. Lingering, slightly tart red cherry finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. An somewhat drier take on a quad, with good cherry flavor that leans to tart dried rather than sweet cherries. The malt is a bit more biscuity than expected from a quad, but it has good Belgian yeast and fruit character. The high ABV is well covered, quite drinkable. Nice change of pace.
