Poured from 16oz can into a tulip. No date stamped on can.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam. I like it.
Smell: earthy, tropical notes of guava and papaya. There's a little sweetness here, too; it's mild, but quite nice.
Taste: tropical hop flavor with a little more brightness than in the aroma; still with the earthy guava notes, but here with a little bit of pineapple and just a little grapefruit as well. It's very light on the bitterness, but I really like the flavor combo going on here. Yum!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and a good creaminess for the style.
Overall: I really dig this beer! Even though I'm a Husky and this is a collaboration with WSU, I'd gladly drink plenty more of this.

Pours a lightly hazy, rich golden orange color with a great pillowy head that is quite active but still holds it's own.
Smell is sweet grain with tropical fruit aromas hanging around. Not a super powerful aroma but a pleasant one
Taste is strongly tropical melon and guava. Really pleasant and clean flavors with a light touch of grain on the back end.
Mouthfeel is spot on, good body without being too heavy.
Overall this is a really nice and unique brew that has a wonderful flavor, a clean feel, and is just generally an excellent addition to the IPA canon.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy, medium golden amber with light copper notes and a fine, one finger white head with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus hops, orange and a little green onion. Flavor is pale malt, mildly citrus and dank hops, vague tropical fruit and lemon. Modestly bitter finish. Medium bodied with light carbonation. This smelled a lot different than it tasted. Aroma was of a classic citrus forward West Coast leaning IPA, but the flavor is more like a fruity hazy. Like many in that style, it was OK at first, but I lost interest after a while. Interesting name and something about cats on the can, but couldn't find any information on the concept behind the name and presentation. The Three Magnets beer list on the website hasn't been updated for a long time. This isn't my style of IPA; drinkable but forgettable.
