Poured from 16oz tall can into a tulip. Canned 10/14/19.
Appearance: rich golden hue with a little bit of shimmery haze. Head poured about a quarter inch of fizzy white foam; the color is quite nice but I was not impressed at all with the head.
Smell: light aroma with a nice malt character and just enough pear and apple aroma. I think maybe the volume can be turned up a little, but I really like the composition.
Taste: quite a lot of pear-and-apple up front, along with a nicely malty backbone. The flavor makes me expect a wave of alcohol heat at the end, but it never comes (this being a 6.2% beer and all). I think I could sit down and enjoy a couple of these!
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a low level of carbonation and creaminess. I think under-carbonation is really killing this one for me.
Overall: I am really enjoying this beer, but it would be improved SO MUCH but a little bit more carbonation and creaminess.

Pours a clear light copper colour with a very small off white head..that goes fast to leave nice lacing.
Very spicy /yeasty aromas..coriander , cough medicine and cherry
Taste similar but smoother..some bosc pear and lemon drop also in there. Honey in the finish.
Mouth feel is medium ..low soft carbonation..sweetish finish. OK
Nice enough beer for a $1.

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a slightly hazy, medium golden amber with a thin white head that dissipates to patches with slight lacing. Aroma of candi malt, Belgian yeast, lemon, honey and sage. Flavor is grainy and candi malt, lemon, mild light stone fruit, clove, honey, Belgian and saison yeast. Finishes with a spicy, somewhat saison graininess. Medium bodied with somewhat subdued carbonation. An interesting take on a Belgian blonde, kind a of hybrid Belgian pale ale and a saison. I'd categorize this as closer to a Belgian pale ale than a blonde (the label lists it as a Belgian golden ale). Intriguing spiciness, but a bit clove forward. An idiosyncratic Belgian style ale with an interesting spiciness.
