This is one of my favorite local breweries, they consistently put together some amazing IPAs. This one pours a thick peachy haze which is complemented by a delicate floral nose. The lively carbonation settles down a bit to leave a small sudsy ring around the glass. The taste delivers the biggest impression with the light aromatic hops, white grapes and apricots making way for a lingering swell of pithy citrus rind and bitter earthiness. A nice brew

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours an opaque, very hazy milky tea color with a half finger white head that dissipates to a thick film with light lacing. Aroma of mildly caramel malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, lemon and faint mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and dank hops, sharp and rindy citrus, especially grapefruit and lemon, hints of tropical and stone fruit; mostly alpha oils with the fruit notes subsumed. Long lingering grapefruit rind finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Whoops. I got this because I remembered the original KILVS, but forgot it was a hazy. Oddly, this one has a solid bitterness, but mild, vague fruit flavors. I like many hazy IPAs that have aggressive bittering, but this one does not have herbal fruit flavors that interest me. I enjoyed it for the finish, but that's about it.
