Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. This is a "hazy dry hopped golden ale with hallertau blanc and citra". It's a collaboration with Airways Brewing.
Appearance: very hazy indeed; body is a turbid bright orange-yellow color with a finger of frothy eggshell foam atop. I think it looks good!
Smell: sweet malt with lots of green, grassy, vernal hop aroma. It's an interesting mix; perhaps not 100% successful but still quite nice.
Taste: quite malty up front, with a rather sweet, smooth base; there's a hit of butteriness here too which I think is supposed to be there. Hop flavor is green and vernal as in the aroma, but it plays better with the malt flavors than in the aroma. Bitterness is moderate, and overall this is a very balanced and enjoyable beer.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a ton of carbonation and an extremely smooth and creamy mouthfeel. It definitely works for me.
Overall: this beer is kind of a new and bizarre thing to me. I am not sure I would drink several of these in a row, but this beer certainly has an appeal.

a collaboration with airways brewing, and a neat style bender, hazy like a new england ipa, and liberally hopped for a blonde ale, but also lighter on the malt than it looks like it should be, and without any bitterness at all. i love the hop profile this has, it bursts through the thick creamy inch of white head as i sniff deeply, light fresh pineapple, springtime herbs, and clean lemon, hallertau blanc and citra the can tells me, and i think a robust and appealing combination of the two. perhaps the haziness is a textural thing, this feels pillowy and soft and round and gentle, but im not sure the flavors wouldnt be more suited to a more conventional type blonde or golden ale, i dont find the grain all the flavorful, which i guess makes sense for the style, but its sort of a curious recipe choice. it certainly works well, and i applaud something pretty different, the beers these guys do always seem to be full of surprises! the hop profile is fresh and awesome, the ferment is pretty tidy, and this drinks like an ipa of sorts rather than a blonde, even with no bite. weird but great, the hops really pop in here, and it was excellent with their kimchi chicken burger i crushed when we visited! these guys rule.
