crisp and delicious, a classic czech pils with a nice hoppy presence through the whole drink, not just at the end. i have a red cyclist on my can not a blue one as pictured here, not sure if there is a significance for the beer there or not. these guys have always done lagers well, and this is certainly a continuation of that, they really crush in just about everything they do. this was a perfect end to a really long day. short of immaculately clear, but its close enough, i dont need this stripped of any of its grain glory, fizzy and high headed too. the malt is fresh, european to me, and the water profile brings out the best of it. the hops are fresher than is common in the style to me too, more than just grassy saaz though, i get a lemony side which is uncommon for them, and a light pine element too, really pretty dynamic, bold even, but bitterness is restrained. the yeast is light in flavor but dries this out completely, leaving a fast snappy finish with a little hops on a clean palate after ever sip, great with the high carbonation, refreshing and fully satisfying. the quality is high here, and this ends up being a nice marriage of high flavor and high drinkability in i style i want to both taste and smash, so bravo!

Pale yellow that's not as clean as I would want out of a pils, but is a good shade. Capped with big sticky wet eggshell foam. Nice lacing along the glass as it recedes.

Nose is bursting with grassy/spicy/mildly floral noble hops. Bready malts run steady underneath it.

Again, the hops come forward, with an earthy and herbal profile that's more heavy than it is overhwelmingly bitter. It IS bitter, though, and the malts lighten up further more into crackery/biscuity range.

A dry finish with lingering hop bitterness makes this enjoyable, and inviting on a warm and sunny spring afternoon, and pair well with this burrito.
