not at all a bad beer, but definitely a little questionable. its not even a little colored by the fruit. how can that be? clear too, not what a saison is supposed to look like. i wait for the blueberry, i thought that was sort of the point here, but it never really comes. a little bit of that dennys syrup you put on their hotcakes, sweet and a little artificial, but very little of the fruit itself. less yeast than it should have too. no funk, nothing rustic, wild, or even interesting, and on that note, tough to give it full credit for even being a saison. i do like the flavor though, somewhat maltier than expected, yet still quite light. this would almost be better without the blueberry, but the sweetness is endearing after a few sips. my first beer from these guys, came highly recommended, so i was a little let down, but its interesting and different than a lot of stuff in its field. well enough made, but this isnt one i would be looking to get after again in a real hurry. somewhere in the low to mid B range overall...

On tap. Poured a clear, golden yellow color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of blueberry, caramel and subtle spices. Fairly strong blueberry taste with toasted caramel and spices.
