750 ml bottle into a snifter. 2021 edition, had 4/22/22.
Pours a deep reddish copper color, semi opaque, with no head and a little light cling. Aromas of caramel, malt, butterscotch (good kind), oak, vanilla, some rye whiskey, some fig, light leather and char. Flavors of caramel, malt, light rye whiskey- a little more as it warms, some vanilla and oak. Has a spicy flavor. Smooth, a decent but thin feeling body, carbonated on the low side- a bit flat feeling.
Great aroma, very good flavor, but the mouthfeel drops off the table in comparison. Still, certainly enjoyable.
