750 ml bottle into a tulip snifter. A 2021 release, had 11/20/23.
Pours near black and opaque, with a quarter inch foamy head and light foamy specks of cling. Aromas of vanilla, oak, malt, some bourbon- more as it warms, some chocolate and brown sugar, light char. Flavors of vanilla, bourbon, malt, chocolate, oak, some brown sugar, a light bitterness on the finish. Smooth, a very good full body, well carbonated.
This was definitely better than expected. The vanilla and the barrels star, accompanied by a good assortment of aromas and flavors. Best fully warmed, if you’re still holding one. Very enjoyable.
