A - Translucent deep, reddish amber body with an attractive off-white head.
S - Malty, sweet complexity consisting of dark stone fruit, caramel, brown sugar, clove, sherry, and even some cocoa flavors.
T - Very similar to the aroma. Rich, moderately high malty sweetness that blends with esters and phenols then ends with a dry, warm, boozy finish. Appropriately low bitterness.
M - Mid to full body with medium carbonation. Smooth and drinkable but with a noticeable peppery bite and a warming alcohol sensation.
O - A fantastic take on a Belgian style dubbel that is huge in every way with complex malt and yeast flavors. I hope they bring this one back!
