Pours a cloudy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops: mango, papaya, tangerine, with just a hint of herbal dankness. Taste follows the nose almost exactly, with a good balance of biscuity malt, tropical/citrus hops: mango papaya, tangerine and a light herbal dankness and pine. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some tropical/citrus notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While this somewhat suffers from the typical deficincies of most German NEIPAs (not quite hazy, juicy and pillowy enough), it's still a rather enjoyable IPA in its own right, kind of a mix between a NEIPA and a WCIPA that actually works much better than FrauGruber's awful California Sippin'.
