5oz pour at Craft 96 League City, first of a dark/dessert flight.
L: little if any red in it, but very light for a brown, closer to the translucence of an amber
S: I honestly didn’t know the story behind this, so the scent was super pleasantly unexpected. Light spice and sweet. The perfect amount of foreshadowing for the taste.
T: very smooth, no booze, light for a brown, definitely on the sweet side, but not full on sweet, the spice is very subtle
F: too thin
O: excellent surprise. Panther Island is showing progress, and I think I ordered for that and harkening back to a Cigar City Movie Snacks that I had early in my craft experience. This is a very accessible beer that I think both snobs and new folks would enjoy. Snobs might not like the holiday pie spice/sweet, but there’s certainly a mood for this beer. If I see it here next time or elsewhere, I’ll be happy to get a full pour.

"A beer brewed with [Buc-ee's] Beaver Nuggets".... Hmm..... Interesting.
Look- A deep brown, almost Coca-Cola like color, a beautiful deep red when holding it to a sunlit surface. About a quarter inch of retaining bone-colored foam. Very nice.
Smell- Definitely can smell the Beaver Nuggets. A buttery maple caramel scent, with hints of vanillin.
Taste: Toasty roasted malts with slight hop presence, burnt caramel. Sweet and rich, but not overly.
Feel: Like a standard brown ale, on the richer side, but nothing super rich. Goes down smooth, next to no burn. Nothing to complain about.
Overall: A very interesting idea for a brew. Nothing too crazy, tastes alot like what I would've expected for the style. Pretty good.
