Notes: A strong, golden lager with a caramel apple nose and low hop aroma. 19 Days gives you a nice hop bite in the front and it ends with a bready, but then candied, fruit finish via the significant presence of Munich Malts.

solid little bock here with some unique nuances to it. sort of a generic medium color to it, short of copper, maybe pale bronze is closest, mostly clear, but still on the heavier side in terms of apparent density, and the head is pure white with great retention. it smells nice, i get the lager yeast right away, but there is a cool fruity middle to it as well, red crisp apples is what i get, something new for me in the bock style there, but i like it a lot. its there in the flavor too, maybe its from the grain, but in general this one seems a lot less malty and much more balanced than a lot of other beers in its class. a slight metallic flavor to it though, and less complex than i like these lagers to be, but it comes around here at the right time of year, and with the last vestiges of winter still lingering, a sturdy beer like this is very nice. carbonated well, drier than many in the finish, and an excellent companion to some long stewed sausage and peppers. maybe a little yeasty and unrefined for the style. ive like some of the other two deep beers a little better than this one, but its pretty distinct as they go...
