16 oz can from Charleston, West Virginia [$3.65). A BB date of September 3, 2024 is stamped on the bottom of the can.
Appearance. Hazy golden colored body with a semi-durable white head that leaves spotty lacing on the glass.
This has a very fruity, sweet aroma although the flavor has about average bitterness for the style. Clean, semi-dry finish without a grapefruit aftertaste.

Description: Golden and cloudy with a white head that lingers for a bit. The aroma is muted and not fruity; more on the malty side. The flavor is similar and generally hoppy bitterness - not fruity, floral or dank, just bitter. The carbonation and body both have a medium feel.
Overall: 3.75 (This beer is good but I would not likely drink it again) Meh. Totally forgettable.

Peach orange and mildly hazy with no visible carbonation. 3 fingers of yellow head. Smells and tastes like peach tea, with stale or aged hops. American ipa style from 15 years ago. Medium dry body with little carbonation. I got this in Clarksburg West Virginia and am drinking it in Canton, NC Aug 2nd 2023.

My 3rd beer from this brewery, all good. The Porter was outstanding!!!!! Double Bit is a fine Imperial IPA. Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, this beer featured a big foamy white head almost soapy in appearance. Head retention is excellent and there are thick bands of lacing on the glass. The color starts out a slightly hazy gold, turning into a very hazy more dull gold on subsequent pours. Aroma is fairly mild, some citrus hops and a herbal, dank aspect. Flavor is more robust. Starts out with some citrus (grapefruit), the herbal/dank aspect is more pronounced and there is a mild tobacco like flavor present. At the finish, I experienced some piney, resinous hoppiness. Mouthfeel was crisp and moderately bitter. The resinous, oily pine finish made this more a West Coast style IPA than a New England one. Alcohol is well hidden. I bought a four pack of Double Bit, looking forward to the rest of them!!!!

My first WV beer giving me all 50 states plus DC. This was awesome. Lasting rocky head retention and soapy lacing. Moderate haze. Best before 5/15/23. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, guava, berries, citrus rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass. Large sized pine rind bitter finish. Medium carb and body. Balanced bready grainy malt and sticky resinous hops. Long resin drying finish, mild astringency and warming 8%. A bit crisp on resins. Very vibrant and dank hops with a clean malt backbone. Feels like a lot of Columbus and Simcoe hops.

I liked it ! Peaches or apricots dominate the nose and taste. Lemons and tangerines follow underneath . Bitterness is tamed by the citrusy hops and/or malts . I can get this one often , as I'm from WV .

The contents of a pint can fell into a clear Imperial pint glass. The head volume is reasonable, so it fits nicely. It looks quite like an adjunct lager, bright amber, translucent and with a very modest head. Ah, but the smell is sharply piney in a way of no lager. The only concern at this point, is its lack of complexity. The aroma is sharply piney, but nothing more. The taste is better, as there is a malty backbone that carries the piney hoppy bite. Still, it's nowhere nearly complex enough to be considered amongst the good ones. But, it has its good points; the malty counterbalance, the piney hop bite and the well disguised high ABV stand out. There's no good reason not to have another one.

16oz can poured into a tulip
A- pours clear golden color with a two-finger foamy white head that has great retention and leaves plenty of lacing behind
S- citrusy hops on the nose with aromas of grapefruit zest, tangerine and a hint of lemon, complimented by some resinous pine. Undertones of bready toasted malt
T- plenty of piney hop bitterness up front, as well as tangerine pith and grapefruit zest and lemon peel. Mid-palate gives some bready malt to balance it out, more piney bitterness on the linger
M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish
O- well balanced an easy drinking west coast style IPA

First adventure out since the crazy covid shut down. Thank goodness for living in a rural area! Malty undertone. Dry finish. Nose is spicy with malt undertone. Nice color. Leah didn't like this because of malt tones.
