16oz can poured into a tulip
A- pours jet black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring around the glass
S- aroma opens with notes of chocolate icing, cocoa nibs, booze soaked chocolate cake and vanilla. Undertones of jalepenos, cinnamon, espresso, heavy cream & caramel, seems to open up more as it warms
T- rich dark chocolate and vanilla whipping cream notes up front are followed by chocolaty espresso that gives some earthy and herbal notes. Mid-palate brings out notes of cinnamon, as well as more vanilla. The finish gives just a hint of green pepper flavor, along with more rich chocolate and vanilla icing, just a hint of pepper warmth sticks around
M- heavy body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into a chewy, velvety, slightly warming finish
O- a bold and thick stout that blends all of the ingredients well, with a chocolate cake note that pulls it all together, well done
