Picked this up at Studio B in Fayetteville while heading home from New River Gorge, as this was the second offering that I had from Big Timber. Loved the silhouette of West Virginia and the listing of the hops in this beer on the label as I couldn't find much info on this, as the taste was quite nuanced, but in the end, this grew on me as it warmed up as there was quite a bit to like about this!

This had a bright, golden hue to it with a bit of dark and fine sediment in it, as it barely moved when I turned or twisted my pint glass. Lots of thick and evenly-settling suds capped this off as the lacing left behind was beautifully layered all the way down from the top. Lots of white chocolate sweetness, weed, naranja, orange blossom, celery, and subtle dank hops in the nose as the taste was just as fun, deep, and varied. Lots to savor here as this really hit it's stride once it fully warmed up. A hint of fresh cut grass and humid sunshine tied everything in together as this was wonderfully bright and inviting from start to finish with just the right amount of hops, dankness, fruit, and malt that made this both balanced and hoppy with a bit of exotic and floral tones coming in in the aftertaste.

Since the booze was recessed, everything else was allowed to rise to the forefront and the lack of overt carbonation allowed them to emerge that much more as this easily left me wanting more. Even this this was canned on 11/10 of last year, with DRINK FRESH written above it, I'd easily seek this out again as anything that could hold up well over a 9 month span would be worth seeking out again in my book. Somehow, this agglomeration of hops worked out wonderfully in the end as this was an American Pale Ale unlike anything I ever had before. Enjoy this beer for all it's worth, as the attempt to seek it would be well worth the effort!
