Sampled at the Green Bay tasting from a 16 ounce can into taster glass. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a small dense khaki head with great retention and spotty soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of cocoa, caramel, coffee, chocolate, roasted nuts, wood, peppercorn, pine, herbal, floral, grass. Medium pine herbal bitter finish. Medium carbonation and body. Balanced creamy grainy malt and sticky resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering resin dryness and no hop astringency. Very classic American brown, no complaints.

Pours a translucent dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma and flavor is of roasted malt, caramel, and a hint of chocolate. Medium body. Low to medium hop flavor and bitterness. A very good American-style brown ale.
