On tap at the brewery.
A - bright copper colored ale with a creamy ivory head
S - grapefruit rind, caramel, grain, earthy rye
T - big, bitter, pine-resiny punch to the palate with earthy & spicy rye, grapefruit rind. Caramel, toasted grain, and rye notes provide a bit of a malt backbone but this is a huge hop bomb
M - medium body, ample carbonation, pungent bitter finish
O - I like the flavors going on here, but for a rye pale ale it's over the top bitter - and that's coming from a hop head. It needs a bit more balance in my opinion.

Served from tap in a tumbler at Beer Market - Vernon Hills.
I kinda expected this to be blood-colored...don't ask... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear brass topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises mixed greens and light biscuit malts. The taste holds notes of pine resin, light rye spice, grass, and some mild greenery. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, this is a nice pale ale, nothing to write home about, but it does seem like something one could enjoy with a game on or something.
