L - Opaque brown not allowing any hints of highlights. Aggressive pour into a snifter generated a creamy German Chocolate cake icing brown head.
S - A blast of chocolate that fades with the head
T - Sweet chocolate continues with some grape, smoky finish sneaks up unexpectedly, not a maniacal abv but still well hidden.
O - Very enjoyable sipper.

Black in color with a thin layer of dark tan head. Aroma is of dark roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is very dry with roasted dark coffee, dark and bittersweet chocolate. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Overall a really tasty stout, nice bitterness with enough chocolate sweetness to balance it.

Black with dark brownish edges, tan mocha foam with spotty lace.
Rich dark chocolate aroma, charred brownie edges.
Roasty and charred with a moderate bitterness. Big dark chocolate.
Lighter side of medium bodied, creamy and smooth. Dry bitter finish.
Overall, this was really nice stuff.

Poured from a 64oz growler into a Lagunitas mason jar glass. (To lazy to go upstairs for a snifter.)
L: Very dark brown pour with a frothy khaki head, leaving some nice lacing with a brown.
A: It's called the Bitter Chocolatier for a reason.
T: Bitter chocolate, rich toasty malts.
F: Very thick on the palate, medium carbonation.
O: Very well done Imperial Stout, reminds me of FBS. I'd love to try this after a year or so in a bourbon barrel. I think they have winner here.

750ml bottle poured into a snifter. The nose lives up to the name of the beer with a lot of chocolate notes. The taste starts out rich and smooth but quickly turns into dark roasty noted with a high level of lingering bitterness.

Lots of bitter chocolate flavor. I'd say they named this one pretty accurately.

Tried at the Chicago Beer Festival - OK & a little heavy.
