500 ml bottle into a snifter, as suggested by brewery. 2106 edition. Had 6/27/18.
Pours a mostly opaque dark amber, with a one inch foamy head and some soapy lacing. Aromas of cherries, wine, oak, malt, some sourness, some chocolate, light black pepper. Has a light berry aroma, too. The taste leads with a good amount of sourness, then: malt, cherries, wine, oak, a little sea salt, light chocolate, a general berry flavor. It’s a little acidic, with a light bitterness on the finish. Smooth, a solid fuller body, well carbonated for the style.
Complex and balanced aromas and flavors, the Pinot Noir barrels really compliment the beer. Very good example of the style, very enjoyable.

Dark mahogany brown with reddish sanguine edges, momentary clusters of surface bubbles. Pinot Noir barrel character is huge, vinous and full of tangy tart berry, dark chocolate, and tannic oak.
Taste is similarly complex with a pleasant tangy tartness, gripping acidity and a dry tannic finish. Carb is very low, body is medium. A nice rich sipper, though a little more carbonation would improve it. Overall this was a tasty and solid barrel-fermented and aged Oud Bruin. I'd seek it out again.
