500 ml bottle into a tulip snifter. 2017 edition, had 2/26/19
Pours a dark amber, mostly opaque, with a one and a half inch foamy head with very good retention and a decent amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of rye whiskey, caramel, malt, figs, dates, some tobacco, light coconut and vanilla, light plums, faint cherries. Flavors of rye whiskey, malt, caramel, figs, dates, some coconut and vanilla, some plums and cherries, light tobacco and brown sugar, a little oak. A light sweet note on the finish. Smooth, a good medium to full body, well carbonated.
Terrific barrels, complex and developed aromas and flavors. The add- ins could show more, but overall this is a solid effort.
