Who doesn't love a giant stack of chocolate chip pancakes doused in Vermont maple syrup for breakfast or even for dinner?! Rather than going through all the hassle of making them, we suggest you simply stop by the brewery for the much anticipated release of our new dessert stout we call DS1 Maple Vanilla Imperial Milk Stout. The beer is a feast for your senses, exploding with maple syrup thanks in part to the 200 pounds of Vermont maple syrup from Butternut Mountain Farm. It's followed by notes of milk & bittersweet chocolate, dark caramel, toffee, and bits of coffee & vanilla. The addition of milk sugar adds to the beer's sweet kisses and silky smooth body.

Purchased crowler at brewery Oct '20. Poured and drank New Years Eve 2020. Frosted bar glass used, oily thick black with frothy Mocha-tan head.
Immediate sweet aromas of maple and coffee wafting into nose. Well blended flavors, sticky, Velvety on palate. Finish strong with chocolate mixed with the predominate maple. Extraordinary brew.

Black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice tan head; frothy lace.
Maple syrup, cream & fresh earth notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Maple syrup, cream & fresh earth flavors; mild booze heat & a slight metallic note on the finish.
Not great, frankly.

Medium shimmering black with a brown ring. Smells of maple, vanilla, chocolate chips, and roasted malt. Taste is built around a pleasant contrast between maple candy and roasted chocolate malt. Though simpler it works well, creamy, frothy, roasty and sweet, cloys a little and fatigues the palate over time.
