500 ml bottle into a tulip snifter. 2018 edition, had 11/21/19.
Pours a beautiful cherry red, dark but clear, with a one inch quickly dissipating foamy head and some slick, foamy lacing. Very active carbonation, like fireworks bursts. Aromas of red wine, light grapes, light cherries some malt and wheat, some vanilla, light yeast, a little musk- like aroma, not must- like. Flavors of grapes, red wine, malt, some vanilla, light cranberries, light wheat, a little smoke. Interesting aftertaste, almost like green olives. Not in a bad way, but doubt that’s what they were shooting for. Smooth, a solid light to medium body, well carbonated.
Really has an interesting and unique flavor profile, and a great aroma. This was solid from top to bottom. Very enjoyable.
