Our 6 year anniversary beer is back: SCRUMDILI-UMCIOUS BAR. We barrel aged a portion of this Chocolate Peanut Butter Imperial Milk Stout in KOVAL Distillery Rye Whiskey Barrels back when it was released. And if you remember the beer was packed full of Ghana cocoa nibs from Ethereal Confections and peanut butter, some light caramel, vanilla and milk sugar. The aromas of cocoa, vanilla and peanut butter dance along with hints of maple from the barrel. The sweet kiss of chocolate, caramel, vanilla, peanut butter and now maple fill this extremely velvety smooth beer.

Brownish jet black with a brown collar. Rye whiskey actually bonds with the peanut butter in a earthy and gently smoky way that works for me, accents the nuttiness and fat while the chocolate obviously works, with accents of vanilla and brown sugar, a fascinating nose with lots going on. Taste is less integrated, chocolate and roasted malt bridges peanut butter and whiskey decently, vanilla and caramel cling to oak in another sector. All good but separate. Feel is medium bodied, decently booze heat, rye cuts sweetness well, almost chewy.
