On tap at the Bier Stein. Was not familiar with this brewery, so thought I'd give the beer try. While nothing extraordinary, I thought this a pleasant effort. Sort of reminded me of a dry dunkel meets Belgian dark ale. There was some noticeable burnt toast and light licorice, with some light dark fruit and underlying spice as well. The finish was dry and lightly bitter. Alcohol is well integrated into the flavor profile, and so drinkability is pretty decent. Not bad, but a bit more flavor intensity would be nice.
