Had this out of the bottle at a small pub next to Brouwerij 't IJ in Amsterdam. The brewery was not open yet and it was raining so the wife and I hopped into this bar for a bite and some brews. Had La Chouffe Blond on tap first but then saw this "DIPA" from Amsterdam Brewboys and had to try it. I have to say, it was very good and easily competes with a lot of the US craft brews.
The beer poured a pretty hazy orange color and nice head retention. Immediately I got a pretty strong aroma of citrus, pine, and tropical notes. Flavor was the same, and the beer finishes with a fairly strong but pleasant bitterness. There is a malt sweetness that lingers along with the hop flavors. If I remember correctly, the bottle lists the hops as Columbus and Warrior for bittering, and then Amarillo, Citra, and Simcoe for flavor, aroma, and dry-hopping. At 6.8% abv, this brew is more along the lines of a standard IPA, but regardless it was very tasty and I would recommend trying it if available.
