Arrives very dark brown with a solid and long-lasting dark tan head that eventually recedes to a thick ring. No lace is left behind.
Smell isn't overpoweringly coffee though it is noticeable. Malt and toast notes are also present.
Taste is strongly coffee, a kick in the tongue. Nearly burnt malts and extremely faint hops are there too but really hard to find.
Medium-full body, very light effervescence
Admittedly, I hate coffee so this was more a leap of faith kind of thing. But most coffee/espresso beers aren't this strongly biased.
