My bestie brought a can of this to Nashville whilst there for my son's hockey tournament. It poured an opaque dark with thin ecru head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had faint tobacco notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with a earth and burnt tobacco flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a decent beer.

The NFL season start is right around the corner! This Black IPA was inspired by the Carolina Panthers and is considered the perfect game day brew in Charlotte. Sadly, I am a Colts fan, but the Panthers are still my NFC team that I pull for, also depressing. This Black IPA sits at 6.5% abv with no IBU information. I would say this Black IPA is slightly hoppy on the nose with a dry coffee finish. This is definitely a full bodied IPA. My only complaint is that I would like more of a malt presence from a black IPA, but overall this is solid, with a decent alcohol percentage
