Bottle from the Bodega in Belfast and smuggled home.
Huge hiss when opened and a light skunk that dissipated almost instantly. Somewhat hazy dark yellow with a thin tightly bubbled white head. Nose and flavor hot all the right descriptors. honey like maltiness light pear and earthy spicy hops with a light Belgian note to it. Pretty impressive tripel.

500ml bottle from Tesco, Enniskillen (£1.75):
Good stuff in the end, the beer definitely didn't get off to the best of starts with an average appearance & an underwhelming nose that was too weak & bland for a 7% abv. tripel but thankfully the taste turned things around with some good banana sweetness & background fruits. There was a good butterscotch backing with some apple & touches of pear in there, both of these working well with the moderate carbonating & the subtle citrus tang. A nice offering that went down well in the end but isn't really a patch on some of the better Belgian offerings that I've tried of late.
