I had a different experience of this one than TheBungyo, whose reviews I value and appreciate. I found this a decent interpretation of the style. The beer was a red brown color with a yellowish one-finger head that showed average retention and moderate lacing. There is a lot in the nose of this beer with fruity esters intermingled with floral, grassy, herbal, and medicinal smells. The taste has a spicy and medicinal tang I associate with Belgian style beers and the malty sweetness has hints of raisin flavor. There is a medium length spicy finish, and the mouthfeel is slightly astringent. This is a drinkable beer.
