Thirtieth anniversary brewed in collab with Dirty Couch Brewing. 750ml bottle poured into 14oz tulip. Poured a lightly cloudy brown-orange color with a half-inch of off-white head that had very good retention and light lacing.
Light oak was at the front of the nose, with some fruit (from the wine barrels it was aged in), along with some nice grain and yeast. a pleasing tartness rounded things off. The same aspects went across the palate, just brighter and bolder. The ops of the base IPA showed up as well.
The body was light and smooth, with a very dry finish. Drinkability was very good, I could easily knock back more of this. Overall, a tasty and interesting beer. A must try if you see it.
