Had this on-tap in the alehouse in a nice tulip glass.

Appearance: rich orangey hue with a little haze and a finger of creamy ivory head. A little bit dark but good overall.

Smell: light but rich malt aroma. A little fruit character, but this tripel is a little more malt-centric than I'm used to. Not bad but not very complex.

Taste: thick malt flavor with quite a bit of wheatiness. This beer doesn't have the fruity or chalky flavors normally found in a good tripel. Well crafted, I'd say, but a little bit bland for the style.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent level of carbonation. Creaminess is good, but not great.

Overall: a decent beer but it lacks the qualities of tripels that I love the most.

Appearance – This one had a moderate head and was light yellow in color. It had a bit of carbonation to it but certainly didn’t look like any Tripel that I’ve ever seen.

Smell – There’s a nice, super-sweet sticky orange aroma to this one that, if part of an overall flavor profile, would be terrific. However, it stands alone at the nose. Where are the malts? Where’s the yeast? Where are the spices?

Taste – This one is sweet and juicy and full of rind. Again, a nice compliment to any Tripel flavor profile, but this is all there is.

Mouthfeel – Another total miss here. The lack of good carbonation and complex structure left me wanting.

Drinkability – Come on, Big Time. You guys are better than this.

Comments - I had this at almost room temperature, so no chance that it hadn't "opened up" yet.

On tap at the Big Time Brewery. Served in a tulip.

A: Light golden yellow with a think creamy head of foam. Minimum lacing stick around throughout.

S: Aroma of yeast, malt, honey and a hint of spice.

T: Very similar to the aroma. Malt, yeast and honey with maybe a hint of fruit. Spice is present, but not overwhelming.

M: Light body with a crisp sweetness.

O: This is a fantastic beer for a hot summer day. Very drinkable and does not beat you over the head with spice.

Poured into a tulip glass. Pours a light orange amber, thin off-white head with good retention and lacing.. Aroma of Belgian spices and yeast, sweet malt. Taste follows, sweet caramel malt, light fruit, coriander and Belgian yeast. Nice medium body with a hint of creaminess. This hits all the right notes for a tripel on the sweet end of the spectrum. Maybe a bit too sweet and a somewhat heavy handed on the coriander in the finish, but overall I really enjoyed this tripel and it was half gone before I realized I was underway.

warning, still in the rookie rankings on reviews.
An interesting beer to look at.
In regards to color, this had a nice amber to a carmel like color to it. On the surface the aroma of the beer is very sweet, with a hint of wheat. As I took my first couple of sips I tasted a very light and sweet almost berry like in regards to taste. Overall feel to this was beer was pretty warm, although I think that based on the level of sweetness to it this is a beer with an alcohol level of an 8 or so. A good start to a trippel expense.

Served in tulip. Poured a hazy, yet clear(?) gold-amber-yellow color, with 3/4 inch of white head that had OK retention and decent lacing.

the aroma was the expected yeast and spice, with a hint of fruit in the background. The flavor was very typical for the style, grain, yeast, spice and some fruit.

The body was also typical, light but full, crisp but a bit sweet. Drinkability was excellent, but this is one of my favorite styles, I enjoy drinking them a lot. Overall, a decent example of the style. Certainly worth a shot if you see it.
