First of all, how can you not love a beer with this name? Its brewed for the March NCAA basketball fans who congregate at this great Seattle U-District biermecca. This is a dark reddish-brown unfiltered wheat beer of Germanic styling. It has the mild spicy smells of a german style bock beer, but the taste betrays its pacific northwestern roots with more of a balanced hop profile than youd expect in a traditional bock beer, coming from Centennial and Mt. Hood hops. Nice long medium bitter finish for a bock beer. The beer is chewy and medium bodied. Dont be fooled by its weizenbock moniker its only 5%, weaker than many with the same name. Good news for us; more drinkable.
