I had this beer on-tap in a tulip at the brewery.

Appearance: rich ruby-brown hue with a bit of ivory foam. Such great color!

Smell: cinnamon and nutmeg with a dash of malt. Very spicy indeed.

Taste: very much cinnamon and nutmeg. Super duper pumpkin pie. Great if that's what you're after.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess. Good stuff!

Overall: a very solid pumpkin beer. Maybe a little over-spiced, but still good.

Had this at the Elysian Pumpkin festival as a guest beer. Their the abv was listed at 5.5% rather than 8%, but this beer was alreadt listed in the database with 0 reviews and that info entered. Oh well. Brewed with pale, Munich, crystal, brown, black, and chocolate malts. Bittered with Warrior hops and spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves and ginger. No mention in the fest materials of any real pumpkin being used, so likely this is just a pumpkin spiced ale. Poured dark amber with little head. The smell was exploding with spices- lots and lots of spices. Taste is creamy up front, then lots of spice and a slightly tannic woodiness on the finish. Not very sweet, and a nice change of pace from some of the pumpkin spiced beers for that. Mouthfeel is also slightly woody and tannic, but in a good way, and it finishes fairly creamy. Not bad at all, but once again primarily a spiced beer.
