i had a really good time hanging out in this old school feeling brewery with some relatively modern beers flowing. this though, was not my favorite among them, their take on a hazy, or one of them anyway, and its not at all a bad beer, it just seems like yet another one of these thrown out to the masses, nothing real distinctive or special about it, and the overall quality and refinement here seems only average to me, albeit on a somewhat tired palate i will admit. its excessively cloudy, and very orange, looks like orange juice, with a nose that shows some slight greenness like the pellets themselves, rather than the desirable elements they contain, but with some melon, orange, and lemongrass notes too, not bad at all really, just a little overdone. the flavor shows a little bit of an unclean fermentation profile, but the hops are bold enough to cover up that subtle soapy aspect, tons of fruit to this, juicy for sure, and fresh to me. i wish it was tidied up just a little bit. like if my homebrewer neighbor made this, id be like nice job dude, but for a brewery thats been around awhile, this seems a touch amateur overall, even if the hop profile really works. its a little fatiguing to drink. i like their more traditional ipa types in here a little better...
