Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of mildly caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, a bit of dankness, mixed tropical fruit and orange citrus. Flavor is pale and lightly caramel malt, citrus, dank and piney hops, mixed citrus and light tropical fruit; dank, piney finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. In the new world of millions of one shot hazy IPAs, I'm always looking for a nice, hoppy West Coast style IPA I can count on. I've not visited Big Time in a while and now I learned my mistake. This is a great, full bodied West Coast leaning IPA with tasty malt and pine character, but more dank and exotic tropical fruit than citrus. The aroma and initial taste are somewhat muddled, but the interesting fruit hits the palate mid taste and then finishes great. Dankness is often more noticeable in the aroma than taste, but it is here in the finish as a clear note. This is my style of IPA, with a flavorful malt and interesting hop bill that shows off it's alpha oils. I'll be back.
