Draught beer, tasted in 2004, in Frog and Rosbif brewpub.
Appearance : dark color, with tan foam head (not persistent).
Smell : smoked aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : malty and roasted/smoked flavours, sweet.
Drinkability : a good beer in English tradition style (Christmas ale or wee heavy ?).

An exceptional "response to the Beaujolais nouveau", as exposed by the frogpubs.
The beer pours a dark caramel tone with a slight muddy head that leaves lots o lacing along the sides. The smell is faint but sweet and embracing.
The taste is what really gets you there. The taste, a sweet and average pale ale is exquisitly complimented by the presence of a syrupy blend into the taste that gives a faint sweetness, that, rather than uncomfortable, is heavenly.
Dont be fooled, though, you can get through a dozen of these excellent brews and find yourselves in trouble at the end.
