On tap @ The Frog & Rosbif (Paris, France) on 7/4/12. Served in a pint glass.
Pours a clear gold, with a ½ finger of foamy white head. This retains with some moderately rich edges that leave back mostly fizzy looking lace. The aroma is sweet and doughy in the nose with a bit of a freshly floral and citric taint to it. Light ginger accents just hand on the edges.
The taste has a light biscuit-like sweetness to it, along with a moderate earthy bitterness that lends this some crispness. A kiss of ginger on the tail-end of each sip nicely compliments the other flavors. The mouthfeel is lighter bodied and crisp on the tongue before becoming more smooth and creamy along the back. This feels easy enough in the mouth.
This wasn’t super flavorful but still offered up a decent enough quaffable experience here. The ginger wasn’t overdone and that base Blonde Ale had a tight, quenching feel to it. This was one of the more interesting offerings from here.

Draught beer, tasted in 2004, in Frog and Rosbif brewpub.
Appearance : amber color, with white foam head (sparkling).
Smell : fresh aroma of malt and a touch of ginger.
Taste and mouthfeel : citrus malty flavours
Drinkability : a good beer in English tradition style (spiced/herbed ale).

This is an upgraded version of the Natural Blonde by the frog. Althoug the pour, the body and even the faintly perceptible smell are well within the same description - that being golden, robust, well carbonated, nice white head, some lacing left behind and some faint maltyness on the smell - the spin given by this attractive ginger feature boasts the tasting experience where you find the taste becomes slightly sweeter and acidic, which is actually a very good refreshing change.
You can order pint after pint, this beer is an excellent brew.
