This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a deep mostly dark brown color with a thick two finger-ed foamy off white head. Slight lace. The aroma settled upon some roast, sweet grains, mild dark chocolate and a touch of clean butterscotch. Light grassy hops at the very end. The flavor leaned in on the sweetness of the previously mentioned aromas to refine a clean malty and roasty aftertaste flowing into the finish nicely. The feel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a tad underneath. Carbonation felt fine to me and the ABV felt good as well. Overall, I like the idea that this was considered an Irish styled brown ale, not exactly sure what that entails, but I would have this again.

Enjoyed at the brewery.
A - Poured a clear nice clearish brown with a thin head that fades to leave light wisps.
S - Aromas of big honey, caramel malts, nice sweetness.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, Loads of honey, caramel, loads of malts, faint cardboard.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, thin, watery.
O - Overall this beer was rather mediocre. So many better brown ales out there.

Very small head, dark brown color.
Nose mostly brown malts, toasted honey brown malts, little candy and caramel, toasted caramel, very mild raw honey.
Taste brings more toasted caramel brown malts, creamy like, biscuity notes, little toasted roasted note, very little honey. Little grassy earthy hop bitterness. Finish little sticky fair bitterness, more lingering toasted brown malts.
Mouth is med bod, lighter carb.

Bottle from Bert's
Pours a deep dark brown with faint garnet at the edges. Caramel and chocolate on the nose with hints of roast. Nice drinker.

From the 650 ml. bottle. Sampled on January 27, 2015.
An extremely heady dark brown pour. Slightly cloudy.
The aroma is of darker sweet malts, honey, and nuts. Little in the way of hops.
The mouthfeel was a bit on the thin side.
The taste is quite sweet with a barley malt character and a mild bitterness to finish. It has many of the brown elements one would expect.
