Poured ice cold into a 13 oz Funk Brewing Teku glass not sure when it was canned. Pours a very dark amber with a little hazy ness, with a massive 2 plus finger off white head that leaves big thick streaks of beautiful lace. Does not look like an IPA but still attractive. 4.25
Smell is biscuit, Mellon, caramel, earthy undertones, and just a hint of grapefruit. 3.5
Taste follows very malty for a DIPA biscuit, caramel, sweet bread, and pine and grapefruit in the mild finish. 3.5
Mouthfeel is pretty big, soft gentle carbonation, a tad dry, and drinks easy enough for 8.5% ABV. 4
Overall this drinks more like a big ESB, it isn’t bad but not anything like I was expecting. 3.5

Tap at the brewery
Light fizzy head, clear tan honey color
Nose honey, sweet toasted malts, lighter hops, little grassy floral, mix of fruits, melon, little citrus, stone fruit, etc.
Taste sweet malt, toasted grainy malt, floral hop, fruity, melon stone fruit, little white peach, floral, juicy, clean bitter finish
Mouth is med bod, decent fluffy carb a little light
Overall not bad, expecting more from galaxy but not bad, some interesting flavors.

Enjoyed at the brewery.
A - Poured a nice crystal clear honey hue with a thin head that fades quickly to leave very little in the way of retention.
S - Aromas of light melons, not much in the way of citrus unfortunately, little bit of passion fruit, light musty notes.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, excellent tropical notes, good citrus peel along with passion fruit. Nice almost candy melon. Loads of passion fruit and musty qualities. Tasty.
M - Mouthfeel is very lightly carbonated, bit thin.
O - Overall this was a rather nice beer. The nose was solid but the taste was much better. Solid.

From the 16 oz can released in July 2017. Sampled on July 16, 2017.
It pours medium mahogany amber with a cream colored head that fades fast. Some cloudiness.
The aroma brings out an array of sweet caramel malts, tannin (like a Red Ale malt), a burnt character, and an earthy hop profile.
The body is medium and a tad astringent.
The immediate flavor profile starts sweet and caramel-like but there is also a burnt or herbal character that kicks in toward the finish.
This is a Double IPA that does not emit grapefruit, pineapple, orange, floral, or pine characters. This one is more earthy and herbal.
